Butvydas is the same name as Pucuwerus. Pucuwerus (mentioned in 1291) is just a distorted form of the name Butvydas. The letters "c" and "t" looked very similarly and were mixed often; "P" is missplelled for "B", because they sound similarly. So we can write this name "Butuverus"; "r" and "d" could also be mixed in the proces of rewriting, so the name should be corrected to "Butuwedus" and corresponds to the Lithuanian name "Butvydas", which is recorded as "Budivid" in the Ruthenian source (1289).
