Random quote: "Kitos tautos, mūruose, uolose užsirakinusios, vos ne vos išgelbėjo savo liuosybę, lietuviai ir žemaičiai, gyvendami giriose ir laukuose, mokėjo ja ilgą laiką džiaugtis ir nuo visų baisiausių savo neprietelių saugoti viena savo narsybe ir kantrybe." Simonas Daukantas, "Istorija žemaitiška" (1837)

Well, we know some viking traces near Nemunas, we know even some ruthenians from Pomerania (probably) reached scalovians, but we don't know about lithuanian influence. Only some linguists say, but where are archeological provements, if such massive, old presence of lithuanians was.

What exactly archeological proofs would you accept ? Or you just said "archeological provements" because you like the phrase ?

If archeological culture, let's say from 12 century, will match with archeological culture with samogitians or lithuanians from the same 12 century - then I will believe.
