In a Times Online article about the Queen's visit to Vilnius there was mention of a genealogical connection between the Queen and a 14c ruler of Lithuania.
"One historian even claims to have discovered a genealogical link between a 14th-century Lithuanian king and Queen Elizabeth II"
In 1365 Kinstut's son Butaut and his followers joined the Order and were baptised in Königsberg. One of those baptised received the name Thomas, after Thomas Count of Warwick who was present. According to English chronicles this baptism of a Lithuanian "king" in reality took place in London and is seen as a great achievement of the Warwick family.
