Foolish argument, presenting a map that shows a territory shared by both Poland and Lithuania. 

You see, Poland and Lithuania formed a common state, commonwealth, to which Prussia belonged as well (1454/1466-1656/1660).

Yes, in the Polish embrace you almost suffocated culturally.
This was the alternative:

Vytautas, who hated being dependent on Poland, tried in vain to receive the title of King of Lithuania from Emperor Siegmund, the Poles prevented it.
