"Grasland" suggests something bigger than "Wiese" 

And „dryžė“ in comparison to „pieva“ – in opposite – sounds like something small and narrow.

"Geküchgarten" sounds utterly wrong 

Fourth letter seems more similar to „ö“. At least for Geköchgarten Google allready gives something – 8 entries.

No, you should have noticed a mess in my usage of ß/ss/s. I just have spent certain amount of time in dictionary typesetting/programming. And in Germany as well...
