Yes, real shit. I would correct it's a rubbish written by Virginija Vasiliauskiene, Lilita Zalkalns and Jonathan Slocum. I agree with note that you gave and with example. But there are even more mistakes, lots of inadequate phrases, and terms:
"Researchers tend to localize the ethnographic Lithuanian teritory in the area between the Neris, Nemunas, and Merkys rivers." - no one modern tend to localise in this area. Itself term "ethnographic Lithuanian teritory" is a creation and was actual only since the end of 19th century. This expression not suits here, authors should use - initial Lithuania. 


So where this "initial Lithuania" was located?
