"Lithuanian tribes on the left bank of the Nẽmunas were under German rule for about 700 years. In the beginning the largest Lithuanian river, the Nẽmunas, separated them from other Lithuanians. This is double nonsence because river Nemunas was aproximate boundary between Lithuanian and Yatvingian and other west baltic tribes:

Also border between Grand duchy of Prussia was and Prussia (established in 1422) was passing not by river Memel but on land on the right side of the river...
