Leliwa

Be to šiuose puslapiuose aptikau išsireiškimus: Mazza-Gamboli ir Seriola Gambarèlla (iš prūsų kalbos verčiant Širdelė Gambarėlė). Tada pažiūrėjau į Lietuvių Kalbos Žodyną, o ten:
gambalas sm. Srv iš šiaudų susuktas kūlelis stogo kraštui užbaigti, bamblys.
Po to pabandžiau pažiūrėti vokiečių kalbos žodyną, www.wordreference.com , tačiau jis nieko net panašaus į Gamba- neduoda. Net negaliu nieko įpeistinti čia.
Jau nebesuprantu kažko, gal galite man paaiškinti.
Dar čia pats vertėjas duoda 6 pastabą, kad čia ir yra parašyta Scadinavia.

HISTORY OF THE LANGOBARDS
(Historia Langobardorum)

BOOK I.
Chapter I
The Goths indeed, and the Wandals, the Rugii, Heroli, and Turcilingi, [4] and also other fierce and barbarous nations have come from Germany. In like manner also the race of Winnili, [5] that is, of Langobards, which afterwards ruled prosperously in Italy, deducing its origin from the German peoples, came from the island which is called Scadinavia, [6] although other causes of their emigration [7] are also alleged. [8]

Chapter VI.
The Winnili then, having departed from Scandinavia with their leaders Ibor and Aio, and coming into the region which is called Scoringa,[1] settled there for some years. At that time Ambri and Assi, leaders of the Wandals, were coercing all the neighboring by war. Already elated by many victories they sent messengers to the Winnili to tell them that they should either pay tribute to the Wandals [2] or make ready for the struggles of war. Then Ibor and Aio, with the approval of their mother Gambara, determine that it is better to maintain liberty by arms than to stain it by the payment of tribute.
