I am surprised how no one until now managed to understand a simple disappearance of sounds:

lietuvninkai
.jet.w.ing.i

lietuvis
.jet.wes
.jet.wese (plural

I saw in Virdainas' dictionary that lietuvininkai, lietuvis in Jotvingiai dialect is called leitaunikas, leitavis.
So leitavis - .ejt.wes?
