I have a question about a statement in Gaigalaitis 1917 book "Litauen" on Polish-Lithuanian relations.

Were Lithuanian priests that insisted on using Lithuanian in church
removed to Belarus under bishop Zwierowitz?

Were they replaced by Polish so-called "silent priests", since these could not communicate with their parishioners?

Was their using of Lithuanian called "criminal" by Poles?

Were they a large number?
