I had thought that this area was a possibility along with the area to the West of Mariampole between the A5 and the A7.

What is interesting is that on the manifest there were only two indirect passengers that were travelling to the UK. Katie's grandfather and another passenger who was from what looks like Mokolai. This is near to the villages that you mentioned. Did they know each other?

It would be interesting to see where these families were in 1935. I think that the LDS may have copies of the book at their centres. I will have to check how to access this information.
